Last week I was invited by the Planning Institute of Australia to participate in my first webinar – Emerging Trends in Planner Technologies.
I was joined by Julia Hardiman, Digital Urban Designer at Waverley Council who provided great insight into the practical implementation of trends, Council’s online urban design philosophy, and the need for planners, both public and private sector, to be trained in the application of 3D technology.
While Julia’s presentation looked at the LGA scale, I focused more on the macro, exploring previous PlannerTech articles and discussing the growing connection between the various digital and physical forms of urban development, infrastructure and services in our cities.
