During the month of February, JOC Consulting is travelling across New South Wales to deliver 14 engagement pop-ups. In partnership with Left Bank Co, who are delivering stakeholder workshops, JOC Consulting has been commissioned by the NSW Government to undertake consultation with the community and obtain feedback on cultural infrastructure in their area(s).

The pop-up has been designed by Christie Fearns to reflect and embody the Government agency responsible for the project, the Cultural Infrastructure Program Management Office (CIPMO) and also its subject matter, ‘culture’. It uses lightweight, creative and flexible cardboard materials to create a warm and welcoming space for survey collection and information sharing.

At each pop-up participants are asked to undertake a short survey, respond to a poster with the question “‘What is missing in your area?”” and also select their favourite artform from a series of badges.

While we’re only halfway through the consultation period and our pop-up roadshow, so far we’ve collected some great information from each of the regions visited and look forward to more towns over the coming 2 weeks.
